To all you folks, “dog lovers”: I am awfully sorry for the death of any pet, but these pets that were at the county pound were not loved or taken care of by their owners, or they would not be running our streets. They were unwanted.

Mr. Caretaker of these pets did the right thing. No reason to blame the county pound for this action. If you do not want your pet put down, take care of it!

To the officer who accidently hit two dogs: He went well beyond the call of duty by leaving a note. The owner was a “dog lover,” who did not take care of his dogs. I wonder, did his dogs have shots, and were they registered?

Thanks for letting me vent.
