Family says it's grateful for return of dog

Editor, the Advocate:

On Sept. 15, our border collie was “taken” from our back yard. My husband and I were upset believing that we would never see our dog again. On Sept. 23, our next-door neighbor brought to my attention a small ad placed in the Victoria Advocate by the Dorothy O’Connor Center that a border collie had been taken to their facility by a local veterinarian, Dr. Beck. I went to see if this was our dog and it was. According to the O’Connor personnel, someone had picked up our dog and taken it to Dr. Beck’s office. He in turn looked after our dog for a few days and than took him to the center. I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all who were involved in the care of our dog, “Oreo.” Thank you to the unknown person who picked him up and took him to Dr. Beck, thank you to Dr. Beck for the care he imparted to Oreo, and thank you to the wonderful staff from the Dorothy O’Connor Center, who took such good care of Oreo. All of everyone’s efforts made our family, including five grandchildren, very happy.
