Biden should use his oratorical prowess
advertising
Editor, the Advocate:

Oct. 2, the date that will live in infancy. Mark my words: It will be the most useless “exchange” ever between carpeting candidates for the vice-presidency of the United States.

Pre “debate” word is that it will be structured whereby there will be no argument between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin. What a bore it will be if questions are asked and answered by each without any exchange that could spark some interest and information as to who best should take over if necessary.

What a shame! I wanted to write this letter as an open one to Biden, advising him to go about his debated conduct. My advice is to go after Palin from the opening gong with clenched oratorical fist. Don’t pussy-foot your way, trying to convince viewers and listeners, that you “wanted to treat her like a lady.” That would be wrong! Treat her as an ambitious, crafty, cunning, devious candidate who’s trying to play it all with coyness and cupidity. Accept her, Biden, as a predatory posturing political (albeit embryonic) grasp for power. Don’t for a minute accord her defense that you think femininity automatically warrants. Attack, Biden, attack!

But, sadly, this will be impossible under this debate’s presumed rules.
