Wonder why the city will need to increase utility bills? Recently, we drove out to the public dump to deliver an old mattress. We were told that first our pickup would have to be weighed and then there would be a $14 charge even though we presented our utility bill. We commented that this is the reason that in nearby counties, all sorts of trash is dumped in ditches along the roads instead of being taken to the public dump. We drove home with our mattress and called the city and asked them to come to our house and haul away the mattress, which they did for free. Now, do you know why the city needs to raise their utility bill rates?
