Rent at mansion is waste of money
advertising
Editor, the Advocate:

There is no question that the Governor’s Mansion should be rebuilt. However, Gov. and Mrs. Perry could set an example for all Texans by finding living quarters that cost less than the current rent of $10,000 per month. That $120,000 per year could buy a lot of needed construction material.

It is ludicrous for Mrs. Perry to ask for donations from the taxpayers who are already footing the bill for their expensive rent house. The rising cost of living makes it an even more thoughtless request.
