Give lie detector test to public officials

Editor, the Advocate:I believe the majority consensus among Victorians is to do something to restore creditability in our local government employees, and, thereby, giving back confidence to our citizenry. How about this: Let’s get an independent, creditable and accredited polygraph team. Then let’s give exams to “every” public servant, the city, the county, the district attorney, I mean everyone. Just ask this: “Have you ever committed a felony or aided in anyway in the commission of a felony?” I guess it would be cost prohibitive. But you know what? I bet you that $200,000 would give it a good start.
