YOAKUM – A 36-year-old Yoakum man was arrested Friday night after marijuana and “equipment that is routinely used to package drugs for distribution” were found in his home. Calvin Ray Price was taken into custody at his home in the 200 block of Davidson Street after Lavaca County Sheriff’s Department deputies, Department of Public Safety troopers, and Yoakum Police Department officers executed a search warrant at his home, according to a news release from the Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office. Victoria Crime Stoppers and the Victoria Police Department are seeking information about the people responsible for a 2007 robbery in south Victoria. Police investigation shows that at approximately 3 a.m. on Oct. 27, a store on SW Moody Street was robbed by an unidentified white man.
