The event gets into high gear Friday with arts and crafts and food booths opening at 6 p.m., a 7 p.m. men’s softball tournament, and a shrimp cook-off at 8 p.m. Music at the pavilion also begins at 8 p.m. featuring The Majestics.
Saturday opens with cook-offs, both barbecue and chili, starting at 8 a.m. The domino tournament starts at 9 a.m. at the Moulton Knights of Columbus Hall. The carnival rides begin at noon. At 1 p.m. the Brazos Bottom Cowographers bring their Wild West show to the pavilion with more shows at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Starting at 2 p.m., music will fill the air until 12:30 a.m. featuring Texxas and the Tim Hall Band. At 5:30 p.m. chili and barbecue cook-off awards will be presented.
Children’s activities begin at 6:30 p.m. with Jell-O eating, sack races, water balloon tossing and more. From 9 p.m.-1 a.m., the Emotions will perform at a dance at the KC Hall.
Sunday cranks up, literally, with an antique farm tractor and engine show at 8 a.m. and a car show at 8:30 a.m. The pie-baking contest runs from 9 a.m.-noon.
One of Sunday’s highlights is the grand parade at 10 a.m. through downtown to the park. A fried chicken dinner will be served beginning at 11 a.m. at the KC Hall, and the carnival opens at noon.
Music at the pavilion, featuring the Dujka Brothers and The Red Ravens, will be from 1-7:30 p.m.
