COLORADO RIVER
(At Colorado Bend State Park) Water clear. Black bass are slow. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on live minnows near the boat ramp. Catfish are fair on liver and nightcrawlers in deep holes.
FAYETTE
Water clear 84 degrees. Black bass are good on shad patterned Pop-R’s and Spittin’ Images early. Red ear perch are good on worms in 2-6 feet.
SOMERVILLE
Water fairly clear 2.25 feet low. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on minnows at night. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on minnows, nightcrawlers, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
SOUTH
AMISTAD
Water murky 77 degrees 0.94 feet high. Black bass are slow to fair on buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, topwaters, Senkos, and trick worms. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on cheesebait, shrimp, and nightcrawlers over baited holes in 15-40 feet. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.
BRAUNIG
Water stained 80 degrees. Black bass are slow to fair on crankbaits and dark soft plastic worms in reeds and near the jetty and dam. Striped bass are fair on liver and shad near the pier and at Dead Tree Point, and on silver and gold spoons and marble spinnerbaits near the jetty and dam. Redfish are fair on perch, shad, tilapia, and silver spoons, and down rigging spoons near the jetty and dam. Channel catfish are excellent on liver, shrimp, cut bait, and cheesebait near the dam and the intake. Blue catfish are good on cut bait.
CALAVERAS
Water stained 80 degrees. Black bass are fair on dark soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits around reed beds, near the dam, and in Granny’s Cove. Striped bass are slow to fair on spoons and jigs near the crappie wall and the dam in 15-20 feet, and on chicken livers and shad along the shoreline. Redfish are good on live bait and down rigging spoons with green grubs between the crappie wall and the dam in 15-20 feet, and on perch and tilapia near the dam and Spider Island. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on liver, shrimp, cheesebait, and shad near the Railroad Bridge and Turtle Rock. Yellow catfish are slow.
CHOKE CANYON
Water lightly stained 82 degrees 4.05 feet low. Black bass are very good on watermelon red and watermelon green soft plastics in 15-25 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Drum are good on live worms. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on liver and stinkbait in 5-15 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on live perch and goldfish.
COLETO CREEK
Water clear 79 degrees (84 degrees at discharge) 3.49 feet low. Black bass to 6 pounds are fair on soft plastics in 8-12 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish to 8 pounds are fair on liver and shrimp in 8-15 feet. Yellow catfish are slow.
FALCON
Water stained 79 degrees. Black bass are good pitching Sweet Beavers and Brush Hogs in the upper end of the lake in 1018 feet. Striped bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on cut bait and frozen shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.
