FREEPORT
Bull redfish are good at the jetty on shrimp and crabs. Redfish have been taken against the grass in Christmas Bay on live shrimp.
EAST MATAGORDA
Trout are good on the south shoreline on small Super Spooks and pumpkinseed-colored plastics. Redfish are fair to good on the north shoreline on live shrimp.
MATAGORDA
Trout are fair on the south shoreline of West Bay over sand and grass on Bass Assassins, Sand Eels and Trout Killers. Redfish are good in Oyster Lake on live shrimp.
PORT O’CONNOR
Bull redfish are good at the jetty on crabs, finger mullet and live shrimp. Trout are good over shell and mud on Corkies and topwaters.
ROCKPORT
Trout are fair to good over shell and mud for waders working topwaters and soft plastics. Bull redfish are fair to good in the Lydia Ann Channel on crabs and table shrimp.
PORT ARANSAS
Trout are fair to good for drifters working sand and grass with natural baits. Bull redfish are good in the surf on crabs, finger mullet, cut-bait and fresh table shrimp.
CORPUS CHRISTI
Trout are fair on the reefs in Nueces Bay on live bait. Trout are fair to good from the piers at night on live bait. Redfish are fair to good in the channels on live bait.
BAFFIN BAY
Trout are good on topwaters around the rocks and on sand and grass. Good catches of trout have been taken under lights at night in the Land Cut on live shrimp and glow plastics.
PORT MANSFIELD
Trout are fair to good on the dropoffs on soft plastics. Redfish are good in the surf around East Cut on mullet and other natural baits. Redfish are good for sight-casters tossing to schools of fish roaming the flats.
SOUTH PADRE
Snook are good in South Bay and around the jetties on shrimp and DOA Shrimp. Mangrove snapper are beginning to show at the jetty on shrimp.
PORT ISABEL
Trout are good in 2-3 feet of water on red soft plastics around Laguna Vista. Redfish are good around the spoils on live bait.
