BASTROP: Water clear. Black bass are good on live minnows. Crappie are very good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on bait shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) Water clear. Black bass are fair on minnows. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair on live perch.
FAYETTE: Water clear 88 degrees. Black bass are slow to fair on spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Red ear perch are good on worms in 2-5 feet. Channel and blue catfish are slow.
LBJ: Water stained 82 degrees 0.33 feet low. Black bass are good on JDC Skip-N-Pops, 1/8oz. Curb’s buzzbaits, and wacky rigged green pumpkin Whacky Sticks tight to seawalls and laydowns in 4-8 feet at daylight and just before dark. Striped bass are good on Creme Spoiler Shads at night. White bass are good on Li’l Fishies at night. Crappie to 16 inches are good on Curb’s crappie jigs and live minnows over brush piles in 12-15 feet. Channel catfish are very good on minnows and dipbait.
SOMERVILLE: Water fairly clear 2.11 feet low. Black bass are slow. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs at the marina. Channel and blue catfish are good on punchbait, shrimp, and liver. Yellow catfish are slow.
SOUTH
AMISTAD: Water clear main lake - murky in the river 78 degrees 0.30 feet high. Black bass are slow to fair on topwaters until about 9:30 a.m., later switching to Texas rigged Senkos, small swimbaits and drop shot rigs in 15-30 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on cheesebait, shrimp and nightcrawlers over baited holes in 15-40 feet. Yellow catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch. Everyone in the boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.
CALAVERAS: Water stained 82 degrees. Black bass are fair on dark soft plastic worms, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits around reed beds, near the dam, and in Granny’s Cove. Striped bass are slow to fair on spoons and jigs near the crappie wall and the dam in 15-20 feet, and on chicken livers and shad along the shoreline. Redfish are good on live bait and down rigging spoons with green grubs between the crappie wall and the dam in 15-20 feet.
CHOKE CANYON: Water lightly stained 85 degrees 3.77’ low. Black bass are good on large soft plastic worms and lizards in 12-20 feet. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow but some large crappie have been caught on minnows. Drum are good on live worms. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on punchbait in 3-10 feet.
COLETO CREEK: Water clear 89 degrees (97 degrees at discharge) 3.54 feet low. Black bass are fair on soft plastics and spinnerbaits in 3-8 feet. Striped bass are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
