Haas, Hajek selected to Class 1A all-state team

Shiner’s Heather Haas and Taylor Hajek were named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association’s Class 1A all-state softball team.Haas, a junior pitcher, and Hajek, a junior first baseman, helped lead the Lady Comanches to the Class 1A state title.
Shiner’s Brandon Siegel was named Class 1A Coach of the Year.
East Bernard’s Amy Bush, who guided the Brahmaretttes to the Class 2A state championship, was chosen the Class 2A Coach of the Year.
Other Advocate-area players named to the all-state teams were Woodsboro’s Megan Carter and Kaitlin McCool in Class 1A.
