Three jurors have been selected to hear a Jackson County capital murder case.

LeJames Norman, 22, is charged with killing Samuel Roberts, 24, Tiffani Peacock, 18, and Celso Lopez, 38, during a 2005 robbery in Edna. They were shot in their home.

A Victoria County jury gave Norman’s co-defendant Kersean Ramey the death penalty in 2007.

Jury selection for Norman’s trial began on July 28. Fourteen jurors -12 jurors and two alternates - will be selected.

Lawyers last year picked a jury for Norman’s trial, but Judge Joseph Patrick Kelly appointed a new defense attorney in January.

Jury selection continues today.

The case was moved from Edna to Victoria on a change of venue.
