YOAKUM – A 36-year-old Yoakum man was arrested Friday night after marijuana and “equipment that is routinely used to package drugs for distribution” were found in his home.

Calvin Ray Price was taken into custody at his home in the 200 block of Davidson Street after Lavaca County Sheriff’s Department deputies, Department of Public Safety troopers, and Yoakum Police Department officers executed a search warrant at his home, according to a news release from the Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office. Price is charged with possession of marijuana.

The Victoria County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and K-9 unit also took part.

Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon called the arrest “an ongoing criminal investigation into illegal drug trafficking.”

The investigation is continuing and more arrests and charges are possible, according to the news release.
